yoga instructor ericaErica McLaughlin

Becoming a yoga instructor was a natural progression for me because I have always had an interest in activities that promote a healthy lifestyle. As a competitive gymnast and collegiate cheerleader I learned about the benefits of regular practice and yoga provides those benefits and more. I also obtained a degree in Food & Nutrition in order to one day help others learn how to eat properly.

I found Bliss yoga in 2004 when my stress levels were at their highest. Yoga has taught me many lessons, but most important how to be present. This lesson has had tremendous impact on my life because I am more self aware than I ever have been. Since then I've primarily studied with Shri and supplemented my yoga journey through workshops with Duncan Wong, Shiva Rea, and others. To schedule private instruction or in class assistance E-Mail Erica.

ken revell yoga instructorKen Revell

In 1985 he saw his first yoga demonstration, but it wasn't until 18 years later that the ‘time was right.’ As his personal practice deepened through daily asana practice and meditation, teaching became the natural outcome of his desire to share the benefits of yoga with others.

Ken has studied Ashtanga Vinyasa, Vinyasa Flow, Anusara, Kripalu Yoga, Meditation and Kids Yoga with Shri Hamilton-Hubbard, Stan Hubbard, Manju Jois, David Swenson, David Williams, Amrit Desai, Stephanie Keach, Mariam Gates, Rolf Gates, John Friend, Doug Swenson, Simon Park, Rod Stryker and others. He continues to take workshops and classes to further his personal growth and maintain a fresh approach in his teaching. Whether leading the class or providing physical assists, it is his goal to be ever present. Ken assists Yoga class every Thursday at 5:30 PM. She looks forward to her journey as both a teacher and student and hopes to share with others the joy of yoga and help them to achieve their potential.

“The real payoff of a yoga practice, is not a perfect handstand or a deeper forward bend – it is the newly born self that each day steps off the yoga mat and back into life – Rolf Gates”. To schedule private instruction or in class assistance E-Mail Sonja.

Padma Senteno

padmaPadma began practicing yoga more than ten years ago with nothing more than a towel as her mat and the willingness to open herself up to something new. Under the guidance of her Sivananda instructor and friend amd the support of other women also searching for a sense of self, Padma's love affair with yoga began.

As life changed and goals shifted, Padma always turned to yoga for a sense of calm. Yet, it wasn't until she changed the course of her yoga practice from Sivananda to the traditional Ashtanga that she experienced a deeper level of self, awareness and calm.

Through her practice of and certification in Ashtanga, Padma learned its history and philosophy, pranayama (breathing) techniques, meditation, and the anatomy as it applies in yoga. Padma has styaed true to her goal of helping otheres to see their true potential. To schedule private instruction or in class assistance E-Mail Padma.

Bliss Yoga has a new class: Long Slow and Deep

Join Shri every first Thursday of the month at 5:30 PM for Long Slow and Deep, a relaxing, restorative practice that will gently cultivate strength particularly in the core and upper body and facilitate healing by creating space and flexibility in the entire body.

This practice starts with movement therapy- flowing sun salutations for joint health and to create internal heat and then moves to the floor combining gentle vinyasa and long flexibility holds. The class culminates in stillness and silence exploring yogic sleep meditation for rejuvenation and healing every first Thursday at 5:30 PM.
